Also, the C1-C11 bond [152.16(17) pm] is slightly shorter than the average Csp3-Csp3 bond which is around 153.0 pm.

=== Surgery === In severe cases of AS, surgery can be an option in the form of joint replacements, particularly in the knees and hips. Surgical correction is also possible for those with severe flexion deformities (severe downward curvature) of the spine, particularly in the neck, although this procedure is considered very risky. In addition, AS can have some manifestations that make anesthesia more complex. Changes in the upper airway can lead to difficulties in intubating the airway, spinal and epidural anesthesia may be difficult owing to calcification of ligaments, and a small number of people have aortic insufficiency. === Similarity to edible species === A. phalloides is similar to the edible paddy straw mushroom (Volvariella volvacea) and A. princeps, commonly known as "white Caesar". Some may mistake juvenile death caps for edible puffballs or mature specimens for other edible Amanita species, such as A. lanei, so some authorities recommend avoiding the collecting of Amanita species for the table altogether. The white form of A. phalloides may be mistaken for edible species of Agaricus, especially the young fruitbodies whose unexpanded caps conceal the telltale white gills; all mature species of Agaricus have dark-colored gills. In Europe, other similarly green-capped species collected by mushroom hunters include various green-hued brittlegills of the genus Russula and the formerly popular Tricholoma equestre, now regarded as hazardous owing to a series of restaurant poisonings in France. Brittlegills, such as Russula heterophylla, R. aeruginea, and R. virescens, can be distinguished by their brittle flesh and the lack of both volva and ring. Other similar species include A. subjunquillea in eastern Asia and A. arocheae, which ranges from Andean Colombia north at least as far as central Mexico, both of which are also poisonous.
== Opinion polls == Polling on voting intention was published from May 2023 onwards, most regularly by the National Institute of Development Administration (NIDA), and increased in frequency after the dissolution of the House in December 2025. The final NIDA survey, conducted between 23 and 27 January 2026 among 2,500 respondents, placed the People's Party on 34.2 per cent and Bhumjaithai on 22.6 per cent. The People's Party did lead the party-list vote at the election, taking 30.56 per cent to Bhumjaithai's 17.90 per cent, though Bhumjaithai won far more seats through the constituencies.

== Chemistry == DkTx can be purified from the venom of the Chinese bird spider Ornithoctonus huwena using reversed-phase chromatography. DkTx is a cysteine-rich peptide; such peptides are difficult to synthesise because of their low folding efficiency. This is why structural and functional information about these peptides is limited. DkTx is a 75-amino-acid-peptide consisting of two independently folded head-to-tail ICK domains, which are linked together via a seven amino acid long linker peptide. This compact and rigid structure provides the toxin with a high affinity to bind to its target channel. The linker provides the separation of the two knots and allows them to dock to the channel binding sites concomitantly. The two ICK-motifs are referred to as K1 and K2, and each of them consists of six cysteine residues. For this reason, DkTx is part of the ICK peptide family; however its DNA sequence diverges from other ICK peptides, such as the vanillotoxins, huwentoxins or hanatoxin.
